What a day!
I had three companies increase their dividends today.
Kimberly Clark raised the dividend to $0.88 which was good for a 4.8% increase.
Lorillard raised the dividend to $0.66 which was good for a 7.3% increase.
And the granddaddy of them all!
T. Rowe Price raised the dividend to $0.52 which was good for an 18% increase!
Not only that, but T. Rowe Price will also be paying out a special $2.00 dividend in April.
I own 25 shares of T. Rowe Price so that special dividend alone will add $50 to my yearly dividend total that I was not expecting to receive whatsoever! The $0.08 raise will add an additional $8.00 to my yearly total as well.
The magic of dividend growth investing is at work and this post proves how awesome this journey can be!
ADD,
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice trifecta you got there. I saw the TROW $2 announcement earlier today and thought WOW!
Congrats on the raises!
MDP
That's the beauty of dividend investing. Raises all above inflation and I didn't have to do any work to get them!

Pretty sweet! Kicking myself for not snagging some shares of TROW when it was down around $78 per share! We will have to see if I can snag some shares in the near future.
ReplyDeleteDon't kick yourself too hard! There are still a lot of good companies out there at a good price, just gotta find them. Trow might fall down to 78 again but that could be after they pay attention the Out all those dividends.

ADD,
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice. A big raise AND a special dividend. I'm stalking TROW right now. Like what I see.
Congrats on collecting more cash. Life is good.
Best regards!
I'll look forward to being a fellow shareholder in the future with you. I liked what I saw and pounced on them after the market dropped the stock after earnings. Pretty good pick up if I do say so myself
DeleteHave a nice day!
ADD,
ReplyDeleteDAMN! Talk about an incredible day of increases adding income further to your portfolio, just awesome - T Rowe price holding it down for ya over there it seems, great pick up and hold in your portfolio. I have LO and was "egh" with their increase - honestly was hoping higher, but EPS didn't grow as high as I thought it would (thanks merger related expenses.... haha jk). But great job and great pump up post!

It certainly was incredible! LO will be an interesting hold for me once they merge with RAI. I'm still not sure if I want RAI but ya gotta hate merger related expenses. The company I work for went through a split into 2 companies and the expenses related to that were astronomical so I understand.
